Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled RF Engineer to design, develop, test, and optimize radio frequency (RF) systems and components. The ideal candidate will have experience working with wireless communications, RF circuitry, antennas, signal propagation, and testing equipment. This role will support the development and maintenance of RF technologies used in telecommunications, aerospace, defense, public safety, or commercial wireless applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and optimize RF systems, circuits, and components.
- Perform RF testing, troubleshooting, and performance validation using industry-standard test equipment.
- Develop and review RF system requirements, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Conduct link budget analysis, propagation studies, interference analysis, and frequency coordination activities.
- Support antenna selection, placement, and performance evaluations.
- Analyze RF coverage, capacity, and network performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, systems, and field engineering teams.
- Investigate and resolve RF-related issues in development, laboratory, and production environments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, test plans, and engineering recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of RF engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of RF principles, electromagnetic theory, wireless communications, and signal propagation.
- Experience with RF test equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, vector network analyzers (VNA), power meters, and oscilloscopes.
- Experience performing RF system analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience supporting cellular, LTE, 5G, microwave, satellite, radar, or public safety communication systems.
- Familiarity with RF simulation and design tools such as CST, HFSS, ADS, MATLAB, or similar software.
- Knowledge of FCC regulations and wireless communication standards.
- Experience with antenna design, testing, and integration.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or industry certifications preferred.
