How we verify employers and why it matters for candidates
Access to the Bridgebees network is not open. Every employer goes through a verification process before they can see a single resume. Here is exactly what that looks like and why we built it this way.
One of the most common questions we get from candidates is: who can actually see my profile? It is a fair question. The internet is full of platforms that claim to protect your data while quietly selling it to anyone willing to pay.
Bridgebees works differently. Not because we say so, because the verification process makes it structurally true.
What verification actually involves
Every employer who signs up for Bridgebees goes through a manual verification step before they are granted access to the candidate network (by a real human, not ai). We check that they are a legitimate company with an actual internal hiring function. We verify that they are not an agency operating under a different name. And we confirm that the person signing up is genuinely part of the internal team.
This takes time. It is deliberately not instant. A same-day sign-up with immediate access would create a gap that bad actors could exploit.
Why agencies are excluded by design
Agencies are excluded from the Bridgebees candidate network completely, not as a policy that can be overridden, but as a structural feature of how the platform works. This matters for two reasons.
First, candidates on Bridgebees have not consented to being contacted by agencies. They have consented to being visible to internal hiring teams at real companies. Allowing agencies in would violate that consent.
Second, agency incentives are misaligned with what makes a network like this valuable. Agencies benefit from information asymmetry. A transparent, accessible talent pool runs counter to how many of them operate.
What this means for candidates
If your profile is on Bridgebees, the only people who can see it are verified internal TA professionals at real companies. No agencies. No third-party recruiters. No data brokers. The only time a candidate could be contacted by a non-internal recruiter is when an employer in Bridgebees outsources a screener. Bridgebees utilizes their own internal screeners for this service.
You also have tools to refine your visibility further; hiding your profile from your current employer's hiring team, or going into ghost mode entirely if you need to step back from the search. These controls exist because we think candidates deserve to decide who sees them, not just hope that the platform is being honest about it.
The bigger picture
Verification is not just a compliance checkbox. It is the foundation that makes the rest of the network trustworthy. Employers trust that the candidates they see are real people who have consented to be there. Candidates trust that the employers who see them are who they say they are. Without that mutual trust, the network does not work.
We take the verification process seriously because the alternative, a fast, frictionless sign-up with no checks, would make Bridgebees another platform you have to be suspicious of. We would rather be slower and trustworthy.
