Human Resources Business Partner

Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join their growing team in Richmond, VA. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring three days per week in the office and offers the chance to make a significant impact within a fast-growing organization of approximately 135 employees. This is a true HR generalist role, supporting all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, payroll, benefits, recruiting, compliance, and HR operations.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Experience processing payroll for salaried, hourly, and part-time employees; bonuses, garnishments, etc
• Strong hands-on experience working within an HRIS platform
• Excellent technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems
• Solid knowledge of employee benefits administration and open enrollment processes
• Full-cycle recruiting experience
• Employee relations experience, including coaching and performance management support
• Experience interpreting and applying HR policies and procedures

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Experience with UKG Ready HRIS
• Multi-state payroll processing experience, including state tax setup and compliance
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification

DAY TO DAY: 

This role serves as a trusted HR partner by supporting employees and managers with performance management, coaching, employee relations, and fostering a positive, engaging workplace culture. The position oversees full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, employee recognition programs, and initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention. Responsibilities also include managing HR policies, leave administration, HRIS maintenance, reporting, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. Additionally, the role supports payroll, benefits, compensation analysis, and wellness programs while driving continuous improvements to the overall employee experience.
