Operations & People Manager
Join a fast-growing startup at the intersection of data centers and energy. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and wants exposure to several areas of the business. The role offers an in-office environment with flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact as the company continues to build, grow, and establish its operations.
MUST HAVE:
- Previous experience in office management, operations, or executive administrative support; experience within a high-growth, fast-paced environment is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Self-starter with a proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to identify and complete tasks with minimal direction.
- Willingness to pitch in wherever needed and take ownership of both large and small day-to-day responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams, vendors, and leadership.
- Highly organized, dependable, and adaptable with the ability to manage changing priorities.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Previous experience within the data center, energy, or infrastructure industry is a plus, but not required.
- A positive, collaborative attitude with a flexible, solutions-oriented mindset and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
DAY TO DAY:
The Operations / People Manager will wear multiple hats and play an important role in supporting the company as it establishes and grows its Dallas office. The first priority will be getting the new office space fully operational and ready for employees, meetings, and visitors. This will include coordinating Wi-Fi and other office services, managing office supply and equipment deliveries, setting up and stocking the kitchen and common areas, coordinating with vendors for deliveries and installations, and serving as the go-to person for anything needed to ensure the office is organized, functional, and meeting-ready.
The second priority will be helping establish payroll and HR processes for internal employees, including W-2 employee setup and onboarding support. As the role evolves, this person will also assist with payroll administration, manage expense reports, coordinate vendors, support employee needs, and handle general day-to-day administrative responsibilities. This is a hands-on, evolving position with the opportunity to grow alongside the company and could eventually develop into a more specialized HR/Payroll role or an Operations/Administrative Coordinator position.
